The past couple of days have been somewhat of a rocky road for Faio.
As many of you probably noticed, Faio was taken offline and set to "frozen" mode with no reason given. This was the work of the website host responding to a report of some sort of spam operation being run here. I was away camping at the time, but I was able to access the internet via my phone after a mile-long hike to the top of a mountain; the only place that had good reception. My first reaction was to disable all member and social related features with the hope that spam can't occur if the spambots can't log in. I did this, and spent the rest of the camping trip worrying about the situation. For all I knew spambots had taken over and the site service would be terminated due to my not being able to moderate the site.
After getting home and being able to read the website host's message and check in on Faio itself, I became even more confused and worried. Not only was the host's response extremely vague, but I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary here on Faio.
As it stands, I'm waiting for another response from the host but as far as I can tell this appears to have been a simple mistake. Faio is currently operating normally.
Of course, if you've noticed any unusual spam activity that I somehow missed, please let me know.
As always, thanks for your support and patience. Happy listening!
