I've gone over this before, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to mention it again. We live in very different times now, with the internet and all. It used to be that if you wanted something, you would pay for it and receive it either at a store or in the mail. Now, with the internet, it's quite easy to get electronic media for free, or very cheap. Adventures in Odyssey is no exception. Anyone else remember Odyssey on cassette tapes? I know I do. Look at how far we've come since then with Odyssey being available online and all.
Even though media is getting easier and easier to obtain, sometimes even for free, that doesn't necessarily mean that production costs are going down. If people get stuff for free, those creating it usually lose something. However, this is not always the case. For example, more and more music artists are putting their music onto the internet with a "name your price" feature, where people pay what they think it is worth.
Many companies dislike the "name your price" model, for fear that no one will want to pay for their product. I beg to differ, knowing that there are indeed those who can't afford or do not wish to pay, but there are also those who are very generous and would be willing to pay more than something might be worth for the sake of supporting what they love.
So, what I'm trying to get at here is this: do you love Adventures in Odyssey? If so, how much is it worth to you?
There are a number of ways you can support the show!
